I started Sky's Cake Cottage after years of baking for family and friends and hearing the same thing over and over: “You really should sell this.” Eventually, I decided to listen. I’ve always loved two things: baking and stories. Reading, movies, writing, and storytelling have always had a special place in my heart, so when I started thinking about what I wanted my bakery to become, the idea of a storybook bakery just made sense. I wanted to create something that felt like more than just a place to buy dessert. I wanted each menu, flavor, and interaction to feel like a new chapter, something a little nostalgic, a little unexpected, and made with the same care I’ve always put into baking for the people I love. That’s how Sky’s Cake Cottage came to life: a little Southern comfort taking it back to my roots, a little storybook magic, and a whole lot of baking.
